Tour Itinerary :
DAY 1 – Bridges
Meeting Point Information
Upon arrival to the Wadi Rum Village you will be required to pay a small fee of 5JD (or free with the Jordan Pass). Once inside, continue 6km to the village to the free parking on the right; here you will be greated by one of our team who will bring you to the office so we may begin your authentic journey.
Once at the office you will have a quick and informative discussion over tea with me, Ahmad Alzlabeah, about your plans and the exciting experiences that lay ahead.
The Beginning of your Adventures
Starting at 9:00am we will begin your journey with a beautiful scenic drive to the Burdah Bridge; the largest bridge in the desert. Here you experience a 3 hour guided climb to its peak, en route to the top there will be roped section where your guide will safely navigate you to the top. Once here you will have a view of both the red and white desert, a perfect location for pictures. This is an excellent climb for the more adventurous type.
Lunch and Rest
Your guide will take you to a unique location to experience an authentic Bedouin lunch. If you would like to emerse yourself further you can even help gather wood from the desert for traditional food and tea. This will take between an hour and half to two hours; allowing you to rest and embrace the magic of desert before continuing on with your adventures.
Continuing on with your Adventures
After lunch your guide will take you to the Um Fruth Bridge, a place you can climb and take photos over its iconic arch. An easier climb than the Burdah Bridge, this arch sits in the heart of the desert, with steps leading you to its peak. Once descended, your guide will drive you to the Small Bridge, a fast climb up to the top makes for a great photo opportunity and beautiful views of the surrounding red desert.
Back to the Camp
Here your guide will take you back to the camp where you will be emersed in Bedouin traditions. You may taste our traditional food whilst sat with others around a fire, this is an intimate experience filled with story-telling and Bedouin songs. Once finished we willl take you out to see the breathtaking night sky, allowing you to see incredible star formations, the milky way and even the occasional shooting star.
DAY 2 – Canyons
After a good nights rest and a continental breakfast get yourself for another adventurous day. Starting at 10:00am your guide will take you to Khazali Canyon, a unique and vast place containing 2000 year old incriptions from the Nabataeans as well as historical drawings dating back even further. Your guide will then drive you to Barragh Canyon, situated in the white desert you will be guided through its centre taking in its sheer scale. Next will be the Abu Kshaba Canyon, here you can take an unguided walk through its centre, culminating with a breathtaking view of the mergence between the red and white sand. Here on you will be taken to the Burdah Canyon, you can take a walk through its narrow centre slowly leading you towards a view of the Burdah Bridge.
You will then be escorted back to camp, for a traditional Bedouin lunch with tea. This will take between an hour and half to two hours; allowing you to rest and embrace the magic of desert before continuing on with your adventures.
This is time for you to take a much needed rest from the last 2 days of adventures, allowing you to wash, rest and take in all that you have seen. Or if you like, you can spend this time discovering even more of the surrounding area before dinner.
For your last night at camp we will have another authentic Bedouin feast, with more stories and singing. Once finished you may accompany your guide for late night stroll under the stars.
The Next Day
After a continental breakfast your guide will bring you back to the village where there are plenty of opportunities to carry on your adventure.
