3 DAY / 3 NIGHT - MOUNTAIN PEAKS TOUR (HIKING / CLIMBING)

Tour Itinerary :

Meeting Point Information

Upon arrival to the Wadi Rum Village you will be required to pay a small fee of 5JD (or free with the Jordan Pass). Once inside, continue 6km to the village to the free parking on the right; here you will be greated by one of our team who will bring you to the office so we may begin your authentic journey.

Once at the office you will have a quick and informative discussion over tea with me, Ahmad Alzlabeah, about your plans and the exciting experiences that lay ahead.

 

Day 1 – The Expedition Begins

Starting at 9am from the office, your guide will take you for a peacful 2 hour hike; walking through the Rakabat Canyon, here you can trek through its narrow gully which was origially used by the Bedouin to bring goats to pasture. After this you will make your way to The Big Sand Dune, here you can climb the warm soft sand and see the location of many hit films. From here you will be guided to the Infishnia Inscriptions, dating back 2000 years these incripstions were created by the Nabataean people.

 

Lunch Time

Your guide will now take you to a unique location for lunch. Here you can rest your legs and take in the desert environment before making your way to your next excurssion.

 

Continuing on with your Adventures

You will make your way to the Nabataean Map, this inscription was made over 2000 years  ago; once again by the Nabataean people. This hike will take around 2 hours and will take you deep into the heart of the red desert.

 

Back to the Camp

Here your guide will take you back to the camp where you will be immersed in Bedouin traditions. You may taste our traditional food whilst sat with others around a fire, this is an intimate experience filled with story-telling and Bedouin songs. Once finished we willl take you out to see the breathtaking night sky, allowing you to see incredible star formations, the milky way and even the occasional shooting star.

 

Day 2  – A Large Summit

After a good nights rest, you will now be guided up Jordan’s highest peak; Jebel Um Ad Dami. With a staggering height of over 1800m, the panorama views at its peak are breath-taking. Once here you are able to see vast desert sands of the Wadi Rum as well as incredible views of Saudi Arabia. This is an adventurous climb and will take roughly 3 hours to its summit.

 

A Well Deserved Lunch

After descending from the summit, your guide will drive you to Nogriah View for a traditional Bedouin lunch and tea. Here you can sit and relax surrounded by the white desert sands and mountains; offering you the perfect environment to reflect on your mornings climb.

 

Back to the Camp

Here your guide will take you back to the camp where you will be immersed in Bedouin traditions. You may taste our traditional food whilst sat with others around a fire, this is an intimate experience filled with story-telling and Bedouin songs. Once finished we willl take you out to see the breathtaking night sky, allowing you to see incredible star formations, the milky way and even the occasional shooting star.

 

Day 3 – Jebel Hash

Beginning your day with a tasty continental breakfast your guide will drive you towards  Jebel Hash. Once here you will take a nice 2 hour trek over its rocky surface towards its peak where you will greeted by incredible views over the Wadi Rum desert and its vast landscape.   

 

Lunch Time

Your guide will take you to a unique location to experience an authentic Bedouin lunch. If you would like to emerse yourself further you can even help gather wood from the desert for traditional food and tea. This will take between an hour and half to two hours; allowing you to rest and embrace the magic of desert.

 

Short Jeep Tour

After an adventurous few days trekking the deserts mightiest peaks, your guide will now take you on a tour around the desert, showcasing more of the deserts beautiful landscape as well as stopping at a few valleys allowing you to stretch your legs and take those all important last minute photos. 

 

Back to the Camp

Here your guide will take you back to the camp where you will be immersed in Bedouin traditions. You may taste our traditional food whilst sat with others around a fire, this is an intimate experience filled with story-telling and Bedouin songs. Once finished we willl take you out to see the breathtaking night sky, allowing you to see incredible star formations, the milky way and even the occasional shooting star.

 

The Next Day

After a continental breakfast your guide will bring you back to the village where there are plenty of opportunities to carry on your adventure.
